From a Kitchen Table to North + Rose

Hi there! I’m Lauren Rose, the creator behind North + Rose.

My journey began in 2020 when I discovered that many mass-produced candles were filled with harmful toxins that triggered my headaches. Determined to create a safer, more luxurious alternative, I began crafting my own candles using non-toxic fragrances, essential oils, and soy wax.

What started as a personal solution quickly became a passion for creating products that were both beautiful and safe for the home.

That passion grew into North + Rose.

Inspired by History, Travel & Timeless Spaces

But candles were just the beginning.

I've always been drawn to the charm of vintage pieces—those unique finds that tell a story and bring character to a space. From exploring majestic European castles to feeling the ancient energy at Machu Picchu, my love for history and timeless treasures inspired me to curate decor that allows you to bring a piece of the past into your home.

North + Rose was created to bring together luxury home fragrance and thoughtfully curated vintage decor that makes a space feel warm, personal, and unique.

Our Store Just Outside Ottawa

As North + Rose has grown, so has the vision behind it.

What began as a small home studio in Stittsville has now evolved into a beautiful retail space located at:

18 Allan Street, Carleton Place, Ontario
Just outside Ottawa.

This space allows customers to experience North + Rose in a completely new way.
